I really enjoy Plant Fusion because it has a good mixture of proteins (non-soy!) and the flavors are great. I can mix it with some almond milk, or even just water and I am happy to drink it. It’s also not chalky, and mixes really well in my blender bottle.
My favorite protein ever! Chocolate Raspberry is my favorite. I love how i can throw a scoop in water, shake and go and it tastes delicious. SCORE!!!
plantfusion mixes very very good and tastes incredible. The amino acid profile is one of the best out there for plant proteins, works great for postworkout. It is also my favorite protein to use in making protein bars/balls/puddings
it just mixes so good
This is one of my favorite vegan proteins. I can mix it with water and have it taste just as good as with almond milk. I usually get vanilla, and you know that if their vanilla flavor is good then you have a winner. I’ve also tried the unflavored and chocolate raspberry and liked them just the same. It’s also gentle on the stomach, which not all protein powders are. I usually add it to my oatmeal after a hard workout in the morning and it’s absolutely delicious. I’ve also started making a protein “pudding” with it as a night snack and I am completely obsessed with it now. I take one scoop of the powder (sometimes I add cocoa powder for a chocolate pudding) and I add a spoonful of almond butter and then I pour almond milk on top and mix until I get a nice thick pudding consistency. Try it, you’ll thank me later.
Excellent protein supplement. What I personally look for in a protein or meal replacer is how good do they stand on their own. Sometimes we don’t have the time to fire up the Vitamix. Plant Fusion taste amazing on its own. Very convenient and good quality.
I am in a pretty intense training cycle that leaves me needing 1800-1900 calories per day, and consist of 180g of protein per day. Many vegan protein sources are lean, but it can be harder to find those that have a good carb:protein ratio. I use Plant Fusion as an additive to oatmeal, chili, and other saucy foods. The flavors are really good; they are not even remotely chalky. I find that the BCAAs sink to the bottom of the container, but that’s nothing a little shake can’t fix. I have opened 5 containers and the scoop is always on top. (This is a priceless quality) The folks who work there are incredible and are providing a great product.
I have used it to make chia seed pudding, protein bars, many green smoothies, just straight with water, in my oatmeal (mix 1/2 scoop with 6-8oz water and you basically have a thick vanilla milk!) It is versitile and amazing quality. I highly recommend it!
This product has been a godsend for me. I cannot tolerate dairy, soy, gluten…etc. and this formula is hypoallergenic so I do not have any negative reactions and I am able to easily get my protein intake. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because I think the chocolate flavor leaves a little to be desired. However, the vanilla is great for mixing with almond butter, fruit, seeds, etc.
The chocolate raspberry flavor in oatmeal… s0oo good!
As far as the quality of the protein, as other reviewers have said, good amino profile, mixes well, good taste, and good price per serving. Recommended.
Before I went vegan I had tried several protein formulas including whey, pea, soy, and others. They all had that noticeable protein flavor that I really didn’t like so I had to use mix ins. Mix in meant more calories or fats or sugars, usually, which made me stop using that powder.
Then I discovered the Plant Fusion formula. Oh man. To be fair the unflavored and vanilla version still has the protein-y taste but it’s not bad at all. The chocolate one is amazing. Water, shaker, Plant Fusion, done. If I can afford the extra calories and really want a protein boost I add the powder to soy or almond milk and it’s delicious. Honestly the best vegan formula I’ve tried so far.
Oh and it makes great protein pancakes.
